Brookies Gin

Brookies Gin is an Australian craft spirit made in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. It is a small batch, handcrafted gin that is distilled using native botanicals.

The history of Brookies Gin begins with two friends, who decided to create a unique spirit that captures the essence of the Australian bush. The name 'Brookies' comes from the brook that runs through the property where the distillery is located.

The gin is made using a traditional copper pot still and is distilled slowly to preserve the delicate flavours of the botanicals. It is then cut with spring water from the local brook to create a smooth, well-rounded gin.

Brookies Gin can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail. Here are some recipes to get you started:

The Brookie's Gin and Tonic

Ingredients:

- 25ml Brookies Gin

- tonic water

- ice

Method: Fill a highball glass with ice and add Brookies Gin. Top up with tonic water and stir gently.

The Bushman's Martini

Ingredients:

- 45ml Brookies Gin

- 15ml dry vermouth

- dash of orange bitters

- olives or lemon twist, to garnish

Method: Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with olives or a lemon twist.
